Shawn Bryan Promoted to Wichita Office Director
WICHITA, KANSAS— Shawn Bryan, PE, CFM, has been promoted to Office Director of Kaw Valley Engineering’s Wichita office. With over 20 years of engineering experience, Shawn plans to grow and expand the office alongside his team.
“I have a great group of people here that I work with and everybody works as a team,” he said. “I’m excited to be a part of the group.”
Shawn has worked across the country in site development, utilities, storm water and municipal design. Since joining the Kaw Valley Engineering family last year, he has been an asset to the Wichita office by providing his expertise to a variety of projects.
Shawn said that his team has experience working with development in the Wichita area, which adds a benefit for clients.
“We understand the process and we can help them get it through from start to finish,” he said. “Get the permits for them and through construction.”
Kaw Valley Engineering opened their Wichita location in 2014 on North Emporia Avenue. The office has engineering, surveying, drafting and materials testing capabilities, and works largely on commercial and residential developments in the Wichita area.
While Wichita is a competitive market, Shawn believes their office stands out because of their customer service.
“Everybody can do the engineering side of things and I think it boils down to customer service,” Shawn said. “We try our hardest to get back and take calls and keep the communication with the client at all times. We just basically communicate very well with them. It seems like it’s a very good working relationship with both and I think that’s the key to it.”
As Office Director, Shawn hopes to continue providing great customer service and communication to current clients, while growing the office’s client base.
“I’m glad to be here and hoping to move the office forward in the right direction,” he said.
Shawn graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Civil Engineering and also has a degree in Business from Emporia State University. He is a Certified Floodplain Manager, which adds a level of expertise of floodplain mapping and management. Shawn is licensed to practice engineering in Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Florida, Texas, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming and Washington, D.C.
