27th and McGee Neighborhood Project is a Success
Kaw Valley Engineering is excited to see a residential project we worked on completed in Kansas City, Missouri. The project, located at 27th and McGee south of Crown Center, included civil site improvements to create a residential community of apartments, condominiums and townhomes.
Kaw Valley Engineering provided civil design, survey and construction administration services. The neighborhood consists of 350+ apartments, 53 condominiums, 14 townhomes and over 7,500 square feet of retail and restaurant development.
A more detailed description of the services provided by Kaw Valley Engineering include the relocation of a deep 48-inch combination brick sewer, replacement of 100+ year old water mains, upgraded streets with landscape and bicycle/pedestrian access, site development, and storm water management.
Milhaus, a mixed-use developer specializing in residential development, and UC-B Properties, a Kansas City developer, spearheaded this project and contracted Kaw Valley Engineering for services from planning through design. HOK, Dwell Design Studios and Draw Studios also worked with Kaw Valley Engineering, completing design and architectural services.
The total estimated budget for the project was $83 million.
