Kaw Valley Engineering Welcomes Summer Interns
Kaw Valley Engineering is pleased to welcome our 2018 Summer Interns.
Baylee Beatty, an engineering intern at the Emporia office, is currently studying architecture at Kansas State University. She enjoys rowing and painting and has dreams of owning her own business where she can transform and design old and new buildings.
The Wichita office is housing three engineering interns this summer: Jacob Lowery, Kyle Demel, and Ashley Villarreal. Jacob is currently attending Kansas State University and is obtaining a degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Focus. He enjoys basketball, disc golf, and Moscow Mules. Kyle is also at Kansas State University and is majoring in Civil Engineering. He wants to become a licensed professional engineer and run his own business. Ashley is currently attending the University of Kansas, pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with an Environmental emphasis. At Kaw Valley Engineering she works in the material testing lab and office where she assists lab technicians with concrete and soil test processes. Her dream job would involve water and sustainability efforts.
Megan Schwindler, the marketing intern at the Kansas City office, is a recent graduate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. This summer, she will be working with the marketing department to assist with social media marketing and implementation of new strategies. She loves books, wine, and Rooster Teeth.
The Lenexa office has six interns this summer: Kristina Coppinger, Jonathan Anschutz, Kevin Whiteside, Andrew Bryde, Colin Ice, and Katelynn Downey. Kristina currently attends Arizona State University and is pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. She enjoys lacrosse and reading. Andrew, a Missouri S&T student, wants to become a Civil Engineer with a focus on Structural Design. His favorite film is Cloud Atlas. Kevin is attending Benedictine College and is pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He enjoys playing and writing music, creative writing, and running. Katelynn graduated from the University of Arkansas where she received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. She is a competitive powerlifter, and loves to bake and walk her dogs. Colin is studying Civil Engineering at Rockhurst University where he also plays tennis. His favorite film is Interstellar and his drink of choice is Boulevard Wheat.
David Vogel is an engineering intern out of the Junction City office. His dream job would be to assist in design and construction of large scale projects across the country. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.
