KSPE Awards Justin Owens Top Award
SALINA, KANSAS – Justin Owens, PE, Director of the Salina office, recently won the Engineer of the Year award presented to him by the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE) Smoky Valley Chapter on February 28, 2023. Justin appreciates his hard being recognized.
“I feel very honored to be recognized for my contributions to the engineering profession,” Justin said. “So much of the time, civil engineering goes unnoticed because the public has become accustomed to having reliable infrastructure.”
When asked what he feels contributed the most to him winning the award, he made sure to note that it was a team effort.
“I feel that the growth of our company in Salina, along with the many residential development projects that I have been involved with has helped me and the company stand out,” Justin explained.
This isn’t the first award KSPE has presented to Justin. In 2008, Justin received the Outstanding Engineering Intern award. In 2016, he took the award for Young Engineer of the Year. By receiving this latest accolade, he has completed the trifecta of KSPE awards.
Justin will be eligible to receive the award again at the state level in June.
