Randy Purdue, PE Takes the Helm at Headquarters
In the ever-evolving world of engineering, Kaw Valley Engineering stands tall, driven by leaders who have showcased remarkable dedication and expertise. Today, we are both proud and excited to announce a pivotal leadership transition at our headquarters in Junction City.
A Story of Dedication and Achievement
Randy Purdue’s journey with Kaw Valley Engineering began 14 years ago in an entry-level position focused on testing and inspection. His desire to excel was evident when he pursued and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University in 2017. This academic milestone propelled him to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam, subsequently achieving his Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status.
With this newfound title, Randy immersed himself in our engineering projects, garnering invaluable experience. After four dedicated years in this role, his hard work bore fruit as he secured his Professional Engineer license in Kansas, leading to his well-deserved promotion to Project Manager. His commitment to growth didn’t stop there; Randy further expanded his credentials by obtaining a Professional Engineer license in Colorado and Missouri.
As Randy steps into this new role of Office Manager at our core Junction City office, he’s not just filling a position but taking up the mantle to help steer the direction of our firm. His journey exemplifies what Kaw Valley Engineering stands for – dedication, growth, and excellence.
A Seamless Transition of Leadership
As Randy steps into this new role, it’s pivotal to acknowledge the shoes he’s stepping into. He succeeds Leon Osbourn, PE, PS, one of Kaw Valley Engineering’s three founding pillars and its current President. Leon’s monumental impact on our firm, coupled with over five decades of industry experience, has charted the course we proudly navigate today.
While Leon’s legacy remains irreplaceable, the transition signifies trust in the new generation. Leon will continue to lead Kaw Valley Engineering as its President, nurturing its vision and overarching direction.
Join us in celebrating Randy C. Purdue’s ascent and in anticipating a promising future under his leadership. We believe that with Randy at the helm, our Junction City office and the broader Kaw Valley Engineering family is poised for continued success and innovation.
